Matt Vita is a New York City–based comedian and co-founder of the Vermont Comedy Festival, known offstage as a deeply empathetic, grounded presence and onstage for an electric, high-energy style that blends sharp writing with unpredictable, in-the-moment crowd work. He has headlined extensively throughout North America, including premier venues like Empire Comedy Club (ME), City Winery (Boston), Idiot Box Comedy Club (NC), Don’t Tell Comedy (multiple locations), Governor’s Comedy Club (NY), Sugarbush Resort (VT), MassMoCA (MA), and many more theaters, festivals, resorts, and independent rooms across the U.S. and Canada.
Matt has shared the stage with top-tier comedians including Colin Quinn, Joe List, Mark Normand, Judy Gold, Kevin McDonald, Paul Rodriguez, Tim Meadows, Jim Gaffigan, Steve Hofstetter, and Heather Shaw, among others.
His screen credits include appearances on CBS, HBO, Investigation Discovery, and Amazon Prime Video, along with various national commercial campaigns where he usually plays a weird guy on the subway with a boombox or a weird guy rapping in his kitchen. In New York City, he is a regular performer at clubs such as New York Comedy Club, Grisly Pear, and Atlantic City Comedy Club.
